Christy here. I wanted to touch base and tell you a little story. I realized the other day that I hadn’t explained how we came up with the name Love Academy Worldwide and I just had to share the story!

Christy here. I wanted to touch base and tell you a little story. I realised the other day that I hadn’t explained how we came up with the name Love Academy Worldwide and I just had to share the story!
We had started preparing for Love Academy well before we actually formally registered the business name. But the name, “Love Academy” was what I had set my heart on. We already started working on our logo and everything based on “Love Academy” as our identity. We just hadn’t got around to making it official. There were too many other fun things to focus on!
But not only that, I had chosen the perfect date for our business for registration, which was on the 2nd March 2022. I had been holding out for this particular date because we practice Chinese Astrology and we knew that the birthdate of the business mattered!
We had started preparing for Love Academy well before we actually formally registered the business name. But the name, “Love Academy” was what I had set my heart on. However, to my dismay, I found out that the name “Love Academy” was no longer available because a business had used it previously, and their business name was inactive. According to Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), we would have to wait an additional six months after inactivation if we wanted to use the name, which would not do. Numbers are important! Therefore, we had to come up with a different business name.
However, to my dismay, I found out that the name “Love Academy” was no longer available because a business had used it previously, and their business name was inactive. But what? I felt stumped; I had wanted that name for so long! I asked my husband Nelson to help me brainstorm some ideas. We came up with ‘Love Academy Australia’, which, despite being based here, was a “no” for me, because love is universal, not limited by country. We thought perhaps ‘Love Academy Globe’… it was ok – I loved the global vision but it still wasn’t quite right. Then, Nelson said: “How about Love Academy Worldwide?” Instantly, both of our eyes widened and we smiled. I ran over to Nelson and gave him the biggest hug. This was it! My heart was bursting with excitement! Love Academy Worldwide represents everything that we are about. Our teachings of love are designed to be spread worldwide to every corner of this planet; everywhere that is possible. Because LOVE should never be restricted by anything. LOVE is universal.

One day, when Nelson and I were driving home we had an “Aha” moment.
Nelson turned to me and said, “OMG! Do you know what “Love Academy Worldwide” also represents? I shook my head curiously. But then, I was covered in goosebumps as it dawned on me. “It also stands for the “LAW”, the “LAW of the Universe!”

My whole body at that moment felt charged with energy and electricity and I asked the Universe, “Did you plan this all along?”
To which I received the instant reply from the Universe: “Yes, of course we did! And I am glad that you finally discovered that! Not bad huh!”
We laughed.
Well, it just goes to show that the Universe is always one step ahead, in life, and in humor! And it was another reminder that there is always a reason behind every set-back. We just don’t always recognize it at first.
I just had to share that little story with you – I thought it might give you some more insight into us as a company, and who we are – the people behind the name.
